رواية دِستوبيّة من تأليف جورج أورويل نشرت في إنجلترا يوم 17 أغسطس 1945 و هي إسقاط على الأحداث التي سبقت عهد ستالين و خلاله قبل الحرب العالمية الثانية، فقد كان أورويل اشتراكيا ديمُقراطيا و عضوا في حزب العمال المستقلين البريطاني لسنوات و ناقدا لجوزيف ستالين و متشككا في السياسات الستالينية النابعة من موسكو. تعد رواية مزرعة الحيوانات من أكثر الروايات شهرة فى التاريخ الأدبى للإنسانية و سبب بقائها إلى الآن هو أن أورويل قد كتب رواية تصلح لكل زمان ولكل مجتمع إنسانى حيث أن الرواية تتعلق بالذات الانسانية وقد أستخدم أورويل أسلوب الاستعارة حيث أستبدل البشر بالحيوانات.
