According to statistics, at least 1 in 100 adult men in the US, or at least 10% of men aged between 50 and 60 years, develop Peyronie’s Disease.
It is a condition that affects the male sex organ, causing it to bend, curve, or lose length or girth. The condition occurs when there is inflammation in the tissues of the penis, resulting in scar tissue buildup and abnormal curvature of the organ. This could be either perpendicularly or horizontally curved.
However, based on the description of the disease, it is not surprising to assume that there are probably silent sufferers of Peyronie’s Disease that aren’t in the statistics. It is most likely that they are embarrassed to discuss the condition with their partners, doctors, or anyone else.
