The little duckling lives on a farm. She is very curious and always ready for a new adventure. While feeding from the bottom of the pond, she realises that there are more things under water than just plants. On the embankment, she spots a shrew and a kingfisher. And when she follows her mother back to the farm, she meets some of the animals that live in the meadows.
