Fire & Ice is a new adult contemporary romance novel written by Megan W. Roma. Skye was furious at her now ex-boyfriend, Darrell, and she fumed bitterly as she rode in the passenger seat of her friend, Sage’s BMW, as they followed the tow truck transporting her wrecked 2018 Beemer. She loved that car. While she knew Darrell had suffered more serious injuries as a result of the accident, she still mulled over filing a lawsuit against him, even if her multi-millionaire dad had forbidden it. At this point, Skye was through with boys, finished. She did have injuries herself, and Caesar, her beloved red car, was most likely unfixable. Skye was stunned when the tall, dark-haired man came out of Max’s Auto Body Shop. He was a dead ringer for Darrell, and he too declared the vehicle “beyond totaled.” But Skye’s dad’s clout extended in untold ways, and Dorran, the hunk who just happened to resemble her ex, reluctantly decided to see what he could do. Agreeing to restore her car, however, didn’t automatically give Skye a pass in Dorran’s eyes. She was a spoiled rich kid, and someone he had absolutely no interest in getting to know.
Megan W. Roma’s sweet romance, Fire & Ice, is a well-written and entertaining story about two twenty-somethings who’ve lived totally different lives and are thrown together after the young woman’s car is wrecked. The plot has sufficient twists and turns to keep the reader engaged and Roma’s characters feel genuine and real. I enjoyed every moment spent reading this romance that bridges class and culture. Fire & Ice is highly recommended.
