A highly rated book but something that I never got absorbed into. The references to many old movies and fables is something that I couldn’t get past. If you don’t watch movies (of 70’s and 80’s) or haven’t read books like Shakespeares, then there is a high chance you will be lost. The author does try to give you the context to those movies but when you are far from understanding the entire story the concept of storytelling is muddled in that confusion. Especially when the book is about storytelling- it could have been done a whole lot better.
