South Africa – Walking Safari in the Savannah Part 3

We are about to spend several days in the South African National Park Pilanesberg. The park is located very closely to Johannesburg and is a favorite weekend destination. With its 550 square km, Pilanesberg is the fourth largest national park in South Africa. The crater which houses the park, was formed after the eruption of a volcano 1300 million years ago. No Luggage in South Africa!

The decision whether to go on a walking safari has already been made. Quite unbelievable to us, we say "yes" to the rangers who will lead us through the bush-covered area.
