In the evening, while returning home, he stayed at an oil miller's house and overheard a conversation between an ox and a bull, as he could understand the language of animals. He learned that both the ox and the bull had taken a loan from the oil miller in their previous birth, and now, with great difficulty, they were repaying it. The merchant, not wanting to carry the burden of repaying the debt in the next life, returned the loan to the king the next day.
