Bagpuss, created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin, is no ordinary cat. In Emily's magical shop, Bagpuss the cloth cat and his friends wake up whenever Emily brings them something to mend. Professor Yaffle, Madeleine, Gabriel, and the mice all work together to discover the hidden stories behind the objects Emily finds. Emily finds a broken toy elephant and brings it to Bagpuss. The group quickly get to work! Professor Yaffle shares tales of elephants from faraway lands, while Madeleine and Gabriel create songs that bring the elephant's jungle adventures to life.
