It’s been 25 years since the Earthlings were resuscitated and Brandon Foss’s unique set of skills became the deciding factor in Tora’s first interstellar war. A second-generation of Torian humans is now in young adulthood, including Derek’s thrill-seeking son Jumper—whose insatiable thirst for adventure often entangles him and his friends in the darker shenanigans of their home world’s fallen culture.

Amulen society has been decimated due to widespread addiction to the alien game polwar. Derek and his family stubbornly remain on Amulen despite the continually deteriorating conditions. When a new, suspiciously power-hungry leader makes progress in re-uniting Amulen through the very thing that destroyed it, Brandon shows up and gets the kids involved in reconnaissance work.

Half of the Erobian Sphere shows up for the first interstellar polwar tournament. But so does an uninvited guest, and at the worst possible time. The Torian military is provoked into action and forced to discover who their friends really are—and who they aren't.

Five years after the malicious attack by the unknown dark ships, Tora has achieved an unparalleled military buildup. The Torians are now the alpha male of the Erobian Sphere and have taken to making regular patrols in whatever regions they see fit—but especially along the outer rim where the High General has come to “sense” covert enemy activity. When a fresh piece of happenstance intelligence only further fans those flames of suspicion, he convinces his old Earthling friend Brandon Foss to undertake a special mission. The plan has its risks, but it may be the only way to flush the enemy out into an open confrontation away from Torian space.

Unbeknownst to Brandon or the Torian military, three younger-generation Earthlings and their unique pet have also ventured out across the sphere—where they unwittingly tread on a hidden enemy base. Jumper, Alan, and Kayla’s goofily-botched vacation plans land them at a critical point in the enemy’s farthest advancement. Finding themselves alone, disparaged, and far from home, the three friends have no way of realizing that the manner in which they now cope with their rocky circumstances may well affect the course of the entire war.

Test of Fortitude

A fool assumes his allies are immune to treason’s seduction

Three years after the first Ossurian War, the Erobian Alliance begins to fracture when one of its most powerful members commits baffling acts of dissention. In an attempt to diffuse a precarious hostage situation, the Torian High General turns to his most effective tool: the prominent Earthling Brandon Foss. Brandon is reluctantly thrust into a high stakes game of interstellar diplomacy which tests his gamesmanship as well as his battle skills in an effort to prevent an all-out war between three star systems. But he may already be too late.

Unfortunately, far-off star systems aren’t the only place where the flames of discord are kindled. The twin planets of Tora enter into a decisive struggle as Belle-ub, the red Sheen leader who has usurped control of Amulen, shows his true colors in an attempt to take over Banor as well. Few see him for the threat he actually is. A violent struggle between the two Sheen factions ensues, which inadvertently entangles Derek—a man only trying to return to his hippie roots—who must now face his own defining test of character.

All the while, something mysterious begins happening to the Torian humans. Something that might even explain much of the burgeoning strife in the Erobian Sphere. Consequently, their list of enemies begins to grow. It’s a shame the only ones who don’t seem to know about it are the humans…

Measure of Dissent

A true leader must cultivate a heart of service rather than authority.

What will Earth be like? That’s the question on every Torian human mind. Some, a minority, remember it with fondness. But the majority dread the long-delayed Earth relocation mission. Brandon Foss, their unwitting leader, hardly blames them for their fear of the unknown. Unfortunately, he has too many logistical problems just trying to get them there to deal with that—some of which only validate their fears.

It’s been 39 Tora years since the first of 372 Earthlings were revived from cryonic preservation. More than half a century has passed on Earth since their individual abductions. The human population on Banor has grown to more than two thousand, including 348 first-generation survivors. The bulk of these people will be forced to leave the only home they’ve ever known to move to a place with unfamiliar hazards and a shorter life expectancy, where they do not know if they will even be welcome. Then again, they have not exactly felt welcome on Banor the last few years. When a new alien attack coincides with a sobering shave from a cosmic natural disaster, most of the Earthlings finally realize they belong on their home planet, come of it what may.

No big project is ever easy, and that’s without the endless chain of sinister roadblocks which seem to plague Brandon’s final mission. Ultimately, the entire human population will have to test the old prophecies about the true identity of their worst enemy if they are to reach a safe harbor where they can build a promising future.

This is Book 5 of the Torian Reclamation and the final installment of the series, which took more than eight years to complete. The author hopes the conclusion prompts a rusty old gear or two in your mind to start turning. Enjoy.
