Rishi Who Drank the Ocean

Once during Devasur sangram between Indra and Vritrasur; after the death of Vritra many Asurs hid inside the ocean in order to save themselves from Gods.

All the Gods lead by Indra approached Agastya rishi and asked for his help. The great rishi using his ascetic powers drank up the entire ocean thus revealing the demons.

After the demons were killed by the Gods, they requested Agastya rishi to fill the ocean again; he then urinated the entire water to fill up the oceans.
