Jhumur's journey starts from a small sleepy town of Ghatshila to Alipore Central Jail, from where she flees to land up with the rebels in the Naxal Camps in forests of Bengal. Without her knowledge she is secretly transported to a brothel in Sonagachi which paves a way for her to enter the political arena of West Bengal, finally giving her a foothold as a MLA of that constituency. Jhumur had all the aspirations to fly high but her journey to get a pair of wings is painful, humiliating and difficult. Through all these will she ever be able to soar high in the sky?
