Step into an infinite world of stories
Romance
“This is gonna end badly!” Old Ferguson.
Bob Barnaby runs an old drama theater and manages a drama troupe. But the night before they begin their new play, Marriage and Divorce, Bob’s actors—along with his male and female leads and their understudies—all quit over a lack of wage payment.
Bob is left desperate. Financially, he’s on his last legs: theater mortgage, etc., and if he can’t put on the show tomorrow, he’s finished.
After receiving no sympathy from his girlfriend, Jane, Bob finds his one ray of hope from some blue-collar workers fixing an elevator at Jane’s apartment who agree to ‘stand in’ for the show.
With no theater or acting background, these workers are indeed ‘acting’ as they improv opening night by simply being themselves. The problem is the critics love the show and are hailing these unknown actors as “The Best Actors That Ever Lived!”
But Bob realizes that he can only fool the audience (and critics) for so long, plus this ragtag troupe was only helping him through opening night. Now, the show must go on, and how will Bob Barnaby keep the show running and The Best Actors That Ever Lived acting?
As this new version of the Barnaby Theater’s Marriage and Divorce is built on a house of cards, how can it not end badly? Let’s sit back and watch how this all plays out…
