Austrian toponymist Bernhardt Fingerberg makes his way back to civilization following a solo expedition out on Vatnajokull Glacier, barely alive. While recuperating, Dr. Lassi digs into the scholar's strange trek into the treacherous mountainous wasteland of Iceland: Öræfi.
