Ranjangaon Mahaganpati
Ranjangaon Mahaganpati is the eighth Ganapati i.e. the eighth Ashtavinayak temple. Maha Ganapati Temple is also known as Tripurari Maha Ganapati. Shiva ji defeated the asura Tripurasura only after worshiping Ganesha. That's why his form enshrined in the temple is equipped with weapons. In this idol, Mahaganpati ji is shown with eight, ten or twelve arms.
According to mythology, at the time of killing Tripurasura, according to the instruction of Naradji, Mahadev worshiped Vinayak in the form of Parabrahma and received the boon of victory from him.
Thereafter, riding on the chariot made by all the gods, Shiva destroyed the three cities of Tripurasura with his Pashupat weapon. Due to the form of Brahma himself, here Ganesha is called Maha Ganapati.
