Series Description
The "return to the things themselves" is not only the imperative of phenomenology, but also a way of writing and thinking. A genuine author delves into the lived experience of things and cannot be content with merely recounting the history of philosophy or using words devoid of any connection to the past. We can only think by drawing from others and through others. The Things Themselves series will demonstrate this conviction, for it is in the triple confrontation with oneself, with others, and even with God that true reflection is born.
With its dual roots in phenomenology and philosophy of religion, as well as in spiritualism and contemporary metaphysical debates, this series of books will diligently pursue its course "in the long run." No thought without a detour, no action without reflection. We will be able to think anew when we take up the challenge.
Hence, authors will be looked upon to manifest the imprint of their own rapport with the world in their writing, even if they do not make absolute commitments. The act of philosophizing is born of the relationship between the human and the world. And it is by drawing on our own experience as human beings that we will be able to think.
