When Max's sudden medical emergency leaves him writhing on cold cobblestones on a winter evening, the couple are thrust into a bizarre journey for survival. Trapped by sinister forces unknown, they soon realize that Max's detention in a decrepit prison hospital is the least of obstacles they face.

When layers of dreams turn into Max's new reality, the screams that awaken him in the dead of night become all too real. Maggie, desperate to devise escape meets with new complications, as increasingly macabre events unfold in the worst hospital in Prague.
