ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK
“The Buried Giant” by Kazuo Ishiguro is a fantasy novel set in post-Arthurian Britain, following an elderly couple, Axl and Beatrice, as they embark on a journey to find their lost son. Their quest is complicated by a mysterious mist that causes collective memory loss, obscuring both their past and the history of their land. Along the way, they encounter various companions, including a Saxon warrior and a boy with a mysterious wound, and face moral dilemmas about memory, love, and forgiveness. The novel explores themes of trauma, historical amnesia, and the complexities of confronting forgotten truths.
