The Masons see this as a visual representation of the mathematical concept of the Golden Ratio.

#4 The Statue of Liberty, created by French engineer Gustave Eiffel and sculptor Bartholdi, is the most recognizable symbol of the United States. It was a gift from the French Grand Orient Temple Masons to the Masons of the United States in 1884.
