Art Nouveau: The Aesthetic Movement of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries

Art Nouveau, a movement that flourished at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, is often regarded as one of the most influential and distinctive artistic styles in modern history. The name “Art Nouveau,” meaning “new art” in French, reflects its fundamental aim to break away from the historical and rigid artistic norms that dominated the earlier part of the century.
