Религия и духовност
Many believe that the Bible, the Torah and the Koran represent the most horrendous, cold-hearted, cruel and profoundly intolerant writings produced by mankind. The willingness to torture and slaughter men, women and children, and savagely brutalize all their animals in the name of a just yet merciful God, strikes them as outright criminal. "The Lord works in mysterious ways" and the doctrine of "Free Will," are considered mere excuses as to not hold God accountable for the chaos humans have created.
To what end does a just but merciful God let this happen? So that Mankind can be purified by punishment, before being admitted into Heaven?
There are those who have tried while reading a sacred text, to suspend their disbelief, however within a matter of moments, conceptual roadblocks rapidly following one after another, prevent them from casting their disbelief aside. Some see Religion as the great destabilizer, an institution that seeks to hold on to power over its followers who all know they are right, for their God is the one and only truth.
This monograph you are about to read/listen to does not deny the existence of God; it merely asks why we should believe in a God who appears not to care. Einstein had no connection to God, "I see only with deep regret that God punishes so many of His children for their numerous stupidities, for which only He Himself can be held responsible; in my opinion, and only His nonexistence could excuse Him."
