When Bhagwaan Parshuram wanted to learn divine weapons to become a warrior, he decided to approach the greatest warrior ever Bhagwaan Mahadev.

He performed severe penance to Bhagwaan Shankar with the desire to learn from him.

Pleased with Bhagwaan Parshuram’s great penance Shivaji taught him the knowledge of all the divine weapons and gifted him his divine bow and Vidyudabhi axe.

Because of wielding this divine axe, he became known as Parshuram.

Parshuram ji gifted the bow to King Janak, which was broken by Bhagwaan Ram during Sita swayamvar.
